Hello and thanks for popping by. I am currently working in a fantastic SEN school. I have worked teaching little minds from EYFS to 18 years old. I have taught inner city, EAL, high FSM/PP, and across many ages in different role. I love working with children! I hope my resources manage to save time and encourage children to think creatively. The children I have taught so far have loved them and I hope yours do too. Thanks for viewing or buying and please leave reviews if you find the time.

Emotion zone cards to support regulation strategies

Thank you for downloading if you find the time please leave a review. How to use: These were designed to be made into keyrings however can be used for a display. I use these with a poppet style/ fidget pencil case to support a child in my class. To make the keyring version I reduced the sheets down from A4 to A5. These can be laminated back-to-back and the child can use a whiteboard pen with these to help support when they are in the different zones. Please select the yellow zone you feel would suit your child more. For the feel card version, I brought some sensory stickers to place onto the reverse part of the card. The purple box is highlighted on each card to show which activity is on the back of the card. I also used a split pin for the arrow on the front zone of regulation colourful card so the child can show how they are feeling throughout the day.

This resource has been made to allow children the freedom to chose which task they would like to complete every morning. The word mat can be printed back to back and laminated. There are two slightly different styled mats depending on if you would like to concentrate on one common exception word for the day or have a display of words in your classroom. The power point can also be adapted to suit the needs of your class. Thank you for downloading and if you find the time please leave a review.

I have also included a tick chart to monitor students that may require movement breaks to support their behaviour. This chart can be used to evidence the need for 1:1 support in the classroom. To use the social story pick a page and write the child’s name under each person character. You can also provide this to the support staff at lunchtime/ break time to support the child with making the right choices on the playground. Here is the title that can be used for a you’ve been caught reading display in schools. I like to place this in the middle of the display and then get tons of fun photos of the students reading either in school or at home. Ideas could be photos of reading in the playground or upside down on the sofa. This can be used to support reading for pleasure in schools too. Thank you for downloading and if you have the time please leave a review.

Here are a range of ways this resource can be used: You can use this as a behaviour chart and write any names on the starfish. You can also use as a wow word chart during literacy sessions to encourage children to pick out and discuss any challanging words when reading a story. You could write down any words children have used in their own word and place on display for others to magpie any ideas. You could add any sounds you have previously taught in phonics. Thank you for supporting my page. If you find the time please leave a review. You can also snap tag and share this resource on Instagram @littlemindss
